People are really fantastic and friendly there. They were able to diagnose a few complicated conditiins in my German shepherd and explain to me what was going on and developed a treatment plan that worked.

We took our one kitty there for a bought of very bad wheezing very late on a Friday night. The vet was very honest with us that he could do tests but they would be costly and she was stable enough go home and to be seen the next day by our vet. He said he thought our money would be better utilitized to get her the treatment that way. I greatly appreciated the vets honesty. He did say obviously if things got worse during the night to being her back. We watched her over night and got her to our regular vet the next day and she's doing just fine.

I personally would not recommend the Medical Oncology Department in Malvern. After about 5 weeks I switched to Metropolitan and it is a totally different experience for the better. At Blue Pearl the front desk people are not the friendliest individuals. I was not thrilled with the Oncology doctor either. The oncologist was pretty impersonal, I always felt rushed when I had questions and the individual was not the most patient with questions. Anytime I brought my dog to BP it felt like a business transaction. One of of the nurses from the Oncology team is clearly not a dog person and my dog and I really did not like her. She would walk in the room, barely acknowledge or greet my dog - would ask me questions and then drag him out of the room to get chemo, since he didn't want to go with her. There were two positives about Blue Pearl. One is they have rooms that you can wait in with your dog if your dog is reactive to other dogs. That makes the wait much less stressful. Metro does not have this. The other positive was the techs in the Ultrasound department. Alyah and Pablo were so kind, took the time to pet my dog and help him feel less scared. On the other hand, the oncologist at Metro is beyond amazing,. I have NEVER felt rushed, she answers all my questions, is so patient and the nurses are beyond attentive and caring with my dog. Rather then dragging him if he does not want to go with them, they have me walk him to the door. The clearly care about the dogs well being and that was not the vibe I got at Blue Pearl.
