I came to see Dr. McKinstry when my dog tore a ligament in his back leg.
She was so helpful, prescribing natural supplements and acupuncture. She also gave me books so I could learn about glyphosate--and its link to many chronic diseases in pets.
Thanks to Dr. McKinstry's holistic and natural approaches--combined with my own well-developed techniques of energy medicine--I healed my dog in about a third of the time as conventional medicine. My best friend was also spared the pain of unnecessary surgery. And, these holistic methods were MUCH gentler on my wallet.
A win all the way around!
If you're looking for a holistic natural pathway in caring for your animals, physical mental and emotional needs, she is the vet for you. She is very compassionate. And how's your animal's best interest always at heart.
I brought my 18 year old beloved cat Beans to Dr McKinstry, I was looking for a new vet, and Beans health was declining. I took her to several different places prior to Dr McKinstry. Each place, I left with no hope and more confusion until I took her to Dr McKinstry, she loves animals mind, body and spirit and is attuned to them in a way I’ve never seen before with a veterinarian. Beans is in spirit now, but Dr McKinstry is the only vet I’ll take my animals to in future. I’m grateful Dr. McKinstry came into our lives.
Very knowledgable and responsive. Helped us with our cats and giant dog - supplements, acupuncture, general checkups, no upselling, very straight forward and helpful. Thanks!
I want to sincerely thank Dr. McKinstry for her exceptional skills and care in treating animals. I used to take my pup to Dr. Anthony at Haddon Vet, just 15 minutes from my home. Like Dr. McKinstry, he was trained in both Western and holistic medicine, having graduated from UPenn and practiced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). Sadly, after Dr. Anthony’s tragic passing, I turned to Dr. McKinstry for help—and I’m so glad I did.
Dr. McKinstry is highly knowledgeable in both Western and Chinese herbal medicine. Being from Hong Kong, I grew up using Chinese herbs and truly appreciate how effective they can be. Her approach gave me confidence right from the start.
My pup has always been healthy when I feed him fresh, natural food along with the right supplements. Unfortunately, his kidney inflammation began in March after a friend accidentally overdosed him on CBD. He has never fully recovered since then, which has been heartbreaking.
Last month, his urinalysis showed glucose, protein, and a high pH level. After just two acupuncture sessions and a course of Chinese herbs for kidney and liver support, everything has returned to normal—except for a small amount of protein. His pH is now 7.5, which is within the healthy range. I’ve booked a total of 10 acupuncture sessions and truly believe he’s well on his way to a full recovery.
I’ve also noticed his eyes look much better now, even though he hasn’t fully recovered from his tear stains yet—another sign of overall improvement.
Before seeing Dr. McKinstry, I visited another so-called holistic vet in Clayton, NJ, who completely stressed me out. She suspected my dog had Fanconi syndrome and wanted to hospitalize him immediately. Her approach was alarming and gave me so much anxiety. In contrast, Dr. McKinstry has always been calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring.
I also started feeding my pup plantain and dandelion from my yard to help with the protein issue—remedies that Dr. McKinstry fully supported.
Thank you so much for your dedication and compassionate care, Dr. McKinstry!
