★☆☆☆☆ Disappointed with the lack of price transparency and intake communication. I understood the exam would be around $100 plus testing, but the visit fee alone was $248 and the final bill was much higher than expected. I was not provided with a written price list or clear explanation of charges beforehand. The veterinarian also never introduced herself before my dog was taken away by staff, despite us being the first appointment of the day. For a first visit, the overall experience felt impersonal and unclear. After expressing discomfort with the experience, I asked whether it would be possible to continue care with another veterinarian within the practice, as changing veterinarians is generally a common request. I was informed that it may instead be preferable to continue care elsewhere. After several follow-up emails, I did eventually receive the official lab documentation and a partial refund, which I appreciated. However, the overall communication and intake process were not reassuring. This was not even meant to be a complicated medical visit — it was primarily a routine checkup and an opportunity for me to feel comfortable establishing care there, especially knowing the practice is connected to an emergency hospital nearby. Unfortunately, because of the lack of transparency and communication throughout the process, I did not leave feeling confident that this would be the place where I would trust my pet’s care in an emergency situation.
