I did have a good five-star rating a few months back. This vet was new to us and our first experience although sad was professional and raised no major red flags. Shortly after we started getting promotional emails to buy overpriced crap. I called and said I wasn't happy with this and then was instructed to go to my email and unsubscribe from something I didn't subscribe to. On our second attempt to use this vet is when the red flags were flying everywhere. We had a very sick animal that needed scene as soon as possible. After calling multiple times and spending 30 minutes on hold we learned they closed at 2:00 p.m. on a Friday and that we would have to call in on Monday to schedule an appointment that there were openings. I called Monday morning and was unable to get in until Wednesday learning along the way with multiple calls that being on hold for over 15 minutes was a regular thing. Luckily we were able to get some antibiotics to keep our animal alive until Wednesday. We told them that we had a deadly bug going through our home and had just lost 2 other cats. With the government shutdown and prices out of control and the country falling apart we told them we only had $100. We spent $60 for 5 minutes of the vets time and about $60 on two antibiotics which feels way overpriced. We asked if we could get a script so we could go to Walmart or somewhere cheaper to get the medicine and this is when we learned it's about the money not animals to these people. We were told there was a $25 script fee even though we paid for the office visit. We were in shock. This wasn't about care it was about gouging for every penny. I wasn't going to rewrite my review but the company responded back to my previous edited review saying there must have been a misunderstanding. I can't misunderstand their hours of operation and how they answer the phone nor charging for a prescription even though I paid for the office visit. I think what I misunderstood was thinking I found a vet who cared about the animals. We had to decline 2 days a pain medication because we couldn't afford it but had we been able to go to Giant eagle or Walmart for the medicine we may have been able to. Our pet is almost back to normal now. But I guess now we have to find a new vet this can't happen again. I would not recommend these people. They can't manage their hours or their phones and appear to only be interested in gouging you by guilt forever penny. I thought our last vet was getting bad I'm almost willing to go back where we came from. I don't know what's wrong with people these days. Nobody cares and it's just greed.

Dr. Petra has been very good with our animals (we have 4 cats). HOWEVER, during our last visit, my cat was prescribed 14 days of medication and his ears were also to be cleaned. I was shorted his medication (only given 1/2 of the dosage). I called and requested the remainder. I called and informed the receptionist. When I went back, they gave me the bottle and I was only given 1/2 AGAIN. This shorted my cat 3 days of meds. I called again and again told them of the issue. No apology - nothing. Furthermore, upon arriving home, his ears were still dirty. Even though we are satisfied with the Dr., we are unsure if we will be back due to the level of competency of the aids.
