Great Veterinary group! The people who work there genuinely care both about the pet and it's owner. It's the only place I've ever had the vet get down on the floor to comfort an animal and honest the only place that really took the time to hear my concerns and reassure both me and my pet's. We had an emergency situation with another vet who wouldn't give us the light of day and called Richland Veterinary and they got us in right away even though I hadn't been there for year's after moving away. Doctor Dan is my favorite Vet. Highly recommend this place!

I've been going here for over 2 decades and it's obvious that the whole place has gone down hill. Currently they are down to 2 vets, so scheduling anything other than a vet tech appointment may be a ways out. This place no longer writes prescriptions, if they don't have it in stock you will have to order it though their website. It takes a day or two for them to approve it then it will be shipped to you in about a week or so. Hopefully you're not in a hurry for any meds, even calling them sends you to an automated system where you leave a message and they will fill it in about 24hrs. They leave you no option to get prescriptions other places or shop around for a better price. This makes me think they are getting kickbacks for selling more meds. They removed a cancerous lump on my dog in Sept 2024. In the spring of the following year they referred me to a Pittsburgh vet for another lump that appeared, which was also cancer. The whole time they kept prescribing Apoquel for her itching. I recently found out that Apoquel is not good for dogs that have cancer (as per the manufacturer). I'm highly disappointed that an untrained person like me had to figure this out. This makes me wonder if I need to educate myself on more things that are prescribed by their vets.

I've been going here for over 20 years. I went bring my dog up for a vet tech visit. When I got out of the car an employee was screaming for Bella (not my dogs name) and I walked up to her. I was told "You don't need to go in she's fine out here". The employee never told anyone that I was out there. After a few minutes of watching other people go in and out of the building, I walked in (without my dog) to let them know I was here and tried see why I couldn't come in. They had no idea I was just sitting outside. No dogs or cats was in the waiting room. I asked to talk to a manager about it and was immediately told by the manager that it was a miscommunication before I could even tell her what happened. My dog has panic attacks from going to the vets (because she has cancer and is going frequently). The employee screaming in the parking lot did not help the situation. I had try and get her back in the car while she was panicking, so she didn't end up getting loose. This could have been handled in a much more professional manner without screaming at a customer. The employee later said "I didn't mean it that way", that was pretty clear directions.
