I just left vca from an appt for sparky. As much as I loved and was happy with my first 2 visits is as much as I hated this visit. I was very confused regarding the medication and what I should or should not be giving. The vet assistant did not explain things and didn't answer my questions. I was assuming the vet would come back into the room to explain things. Which she never did. Im confused why I was given a medication for vomiting when I brought him in for black tarry diarhea. I thought they could tell me if there was blood in the sample. They had to send it out and vet tech told me they couldn't tell if there was blood by examining it. They wanted to give fluids after the vet said he wasnt dehydrated. Im lost. She said they would check his anal glands which they never even mentioned. I told them he may have vomited 2 times. That's it. Not telling me anything to do or explain what I should do for the diarhea. As I mentioned I don't understand why they would prescribe maropitant. I didn't realize they reccomended famatidine to I read the paperwork. It was never mentioned. Im still not sure why they never mentioned checking his anal glands. Im very upset that dr never came back in the room as she always did the other visits. Tech was not very friendly and did not seem knowledgeable. I could barely hear her.

Friendly folks! All our dogs get checked here. We were suggested this vet and we are happy with the way our dogs are treated here. If you have a puppy get Care Club, worth it. They love puppies here. They treat all animals. Our favorite vet was Dr. Lukas

We had just gotten a rescue dog from MD (Robyn), and she needed to be seen. Was able to get right in. Update: 2/22/2026, We had to help Robyn cross the bridge today. She developed tumor s on her belly,chest, causing breathing issues. 2 mini strokes last week, now affecting her hind legs/bowels, bladder. Saturday night she had 3 more mini-strokes. Her breath odor changed, body organs shutting down. She is now at peace and rest. RIP, Robyn💔
