This is not an honest clinic. I came with my dog to remove his lipoma and they told me it doesn't need surgery just to freeze it once or twice, also you said the dog "doesn't "need to be vaccinated!!!! as I had it frozen it got worse ,which is why I gave you a bad review the first time. You lied! You said it will fall off! You never mentioned that it might grow.As I wanted to have it removed you said he needs his shots,at the first wisit you said he doesn't. I guess you tought i was gonna get him vaccinated at your place. When I wanted to do the procedure and have it removed you reject a person because they speak their opinion based on what happened and say you need to protect your staff. Lol.
You're nothing but a lying crew that sucks money out of people. Don't waste your time they just think about their pockets not your loved ones.
*Edit to add - never received a follow up call.
If you need reproduction services - use another vet. I brought my female Shepherd, Bay, in for rads for her litter. I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told ‘of course, no problem!’. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could ‘see about the prescription’. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it’s importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn’t find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there’s a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog’s care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed.
This place is a money scam. My fur baby always took the same medicine that Dr. BLUMBERG prescribed since he was at Petco, mind Dr. BLUMBERG IS GREAT!!, but the people that own this place are all about money and that's it. They will respond with some made up reason, but it don't matter they just want money. Believe this review, if you care about your babies..
I had a pretty scary situation with my 3 year old dachshund recently and I honestly cannot thank Doylestown Veterinary Hospital enough.
Somewhere during a walk through New Hope, he must have gotten into a THC gummy without me realizing it. Within about 30 minutes, he started acting completely off. He was super sensitive to light, sound, and touch, his eyes were droopy, he was very out of it, and even had some muscle spasms when I tried to pet him.
At the time I had no idea what was going on, so I called Doylestown Vet Hospital and they told me to bring him right in. He threw up on the way, and there was no obvious sign of what he may have gotten into. When I got there, Dr. Blumberg and his assistant were ready for us immediately and quickly figured out it was THC intoxication.
They treated him right away with Maropitant Citrate injection, subcutaneous fluids, and B12 to help him recover faster. But what really stood out to me was how calm and reassuring Dr. Blumberg was. He made it clear my dog was going to be okay and took the time to make sure I was okay too.
I was seriously impressed with how quickly they acted and how knowledgeable and caring the whole team was. You could tell they’ve handled situations like this before and knew exactly what to do.
Also, for anyone reading this, THC and pets do not mix. It can happen fast and the symptoms can be pretty scary if you’ve never seen it before. Definitely keep anything like that completely out of reach.
I’m just really grateful for how Doylestown Vet Hospital handled everything. They took what could have been a much worse situation and got my dog through it safely. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back there again if I ever needed to.
PS- Dr. Blumberg and Dr. Lugo are my HEROS!!!
My 12 year old dog was suffering from cluster seizures, vomiting and diarrhea. The staff helped me get through this rough patch where the above symptoms have resolved. I’m confident they will continue to help me assess her quality of life as time goes on to help make the best decision for her. They are knowledgeable, and sympathetic. They have two people sign off on prescriptions. The grounds are beautiful and the treatment rooms are cozy unlike the noisy places I’ve been to. I highly recommend them.
