I noticed my Guinea pig wasn’t eating so i got an emergency vet appointment with Dr.Stern. I wanna add the vet tech Roxanne was amazing im a teenager so this was my first pet seeing her in that state broke my heart, and Roxanne was so empathetic and lovely when it came to trying to help and she even helped calm me down. Dr stern gave her medicine and Critical care to feed her she was eating it and doing better for a day or so but she was 5 years old and they day i was supposed to go back to the vet she did unfortunately pass away. I took her in for cremation and the receptionist was so kind and patient with me and what i was going through. she let me stand there for a minute pet my baby and say goodbye. no one was in the waiting room either time i went in. I was able to get in quickly and out these ladies were absolutely amazing. I do think certain things definitely are a little expensive but i figured with an exotic animal it would cost more so i wasn’t really upset with that. i’m glad they were able to try and help me do what i could for my baby.

Was extremely disappointed. Starting from the lack of signage out front of the business. Being judged as soon as I walked in the door, because my dog barked insanelyat his own reflectionin the window. Over priced...way over priced. And they didn't have HTPP vaccines... Told me I could return in 3 weeks at no charge except for the cost of the vaccine. But weren't sure if they'd have it even then. But at 4 weeks(When it actually fit into my schedule)I'd be charged for an office visit and cost of vaccine. Do not recommend.

Summer 2025 I took my 10yo cat for a holistic consult because she was having litter box issues and traditional vets hadnt been helpful. I had great experiences with holistic vets in other cities with a previous cat and was open minded and optimistic. I spent literally $2,000 here on every diagnostic test Dr Stern recommended. I paid for a urinalysis but she was unable to retrieve a urine sample from my cat’s bladder. I took off work another day to try again and she was still unable to retrieve the sample. I’ve never had this issue at any other vet. She told me to bring her another day and time but I couldn’t justify taking off work again when my cat (Butters) has had multiple normal urinalyses at other vets. The office refused to credit my account for the urinalysis they were unable to achieve. After the $2,000 in diagnostics that were mostly normal, Dr Stern recommended I avoid certain proteins, and give Butters Vit D supplements and hemp oil. I did this for several months but Butters was still having litter box issues. November 2025 I called the office and said I was ready to try Prozac and could she please write me a prescription. I was told by the receptionist that they would have to examine my cat again because it she was “elderly” And it has been “so long.” Butters is only 10, and we had $2k of diagnostics run less than 6 months prior. I asked what they could possibly examine beyond that as we had run literally every test they had. I was told “a lot can change” in that amount of time. I asked exactly what the exam would cost. They said a normal recheck exam was ~$100, but that they would want to do a $250 “holistic exam” PLUS repeat bloodwork. I said I was not interested in another holistic exam, and I was definitely not repeating bloodwork in less than 6 months. They said that was not an option. I asked Dr Stern to call me. I missed the call, and called back but she was with patients. She never called me again. Several business days later I emailed asking for Butters’ bloodwork. They emailed it over and never called me. This office nickel and dimes their clients without offering real solutions. Any other vet would happily write a prescription for Prozac.

I’d suggest training your receptionist in customer service. I called in trying to gain insight as to whether this is a practice I’d want to bring my dog to and I easily discovered it is not. I asked if she could share information about the practice but more than once said I’m not sure what you are asking, or the like. This is not a dis. Hopefully it helps you improve.

Disrespectful and unprofessional. My mother called for an appointment and they put her on hold (or so they thought) and immediately started repeatedly calling her an idiot and talking about what extra charges they could add to her bill if they did agree to see her. I’ve heard from so many people awful things about this place, but the fact their staff is so uncaring and rude to an elderly woman looking for help is the icing on the cake. Do not recommend. For what it’s worth: we did receive an apology when we called, so hopefully it’s a teachable moment for staff. She is still hysterical and feels like she did something wrong.
