Hoping Dr Heyde gets back to caring like he used to be years ago. Now he doesn’t really care about our dog and his health. Totally dismisses every concern we have.

I will be negative, no compassionate. At this vet. They think they know your dog and they cannot go by.What the owner says about their dog that they're not right.I made a tough decision to put my dog down.And they literally had no compassion.They seemed very cold hearted.All they care about is raw food diet.Have a nice thanksgiving

Weird vibes. First time coming into this clinic with my newly adopted geriatric dog, Dr. Heyde greeted me with: "Do I know you?"...rather odd. The amount of "raw diet" pushing that they do in the office is super strange and off-putting, too. My dog has a sensitive stomach and came in multiple times with belly issues - a raw diet would be unsafe and escalate his symptoms. I needed a doctor to speak with me like a first time pet owner...I asked for that multiple times, but never received that kind of communication or treatment. I've brought my dog to Gladwyne Animal Hospital and it's been 1000000x of a better experience.

I had a rather unpleasant experience with Dr. Heyde, which was surprising compared to how pleasant all of the other staff were. My concerns with my dog were completely brushed off, my observations were discounted, and the visit ended with a lecture on raw food diets and the zoo (?). It was so weirdly combative. Like, I could have said 2 + 2 = 4 and Dr. Heyde would have said I was wrong. It was just really weird. He asked me if my dog’s problem was keeping me up at night and when I said it wasn’t he just brushed the whole issue off, like… huh? I didn’t know my beauty sleep was the litmus test for taking her discomfort seriously. A doctor for humans ignoring their patient is pretty hack but seeing a vet act that way was new and exciting. 5/5 for the other staff I interacted with, 0/5 for the doc. The next time I want to blow 90$ on nothing I’ll just drive over the Ben Franklin bridge 15 times.

The entire team here was excellent, from the couple working the front desk, the technician, and the veterinarian himself, Dr. Heyde. When was concerned about my dog, Gatsby, I was able to make a same day appointment. The technician and the veterinarian both listened to my concerns and were dutiful in outlining a plan of care for my dog. Like most owners, I was worried about cost. The visit and prescription were surprisingly affordable. I was able to ask questions about different medications and strategies until we were in agreement on what was best for the dog. I left feeling reassured that I had a good plan for the dog. I will certainly be going back for a regular checkup at a later date. This place was very well managed, clean, and has an excellent staff. Thank you!
