First, the actual staff and assistants at Ironstone are the best. I got my dog at six weeks and took him there for all his shots, vaccinations, boarding etc. and always had a good experience with them. However, the head veterinarian there is one of the worst people I’ve had to deal with in life. Initially, I thought maybe she was having a bad day, or was maybe just stern and direct. But after several interactions, it was clear that she was not a good person. She always talked in a very “matter of fact” way and any opinion other than hers was incorrect. She was also very rude to her staff. We had an emergency with our dog over the weekend that turned into a fatal verdict. I called to get information on his transition. Instead of her being sympathetic and trying to assist she called to say “I don’t agree with their assessment.” And hung up in my face. We were patients there for 4 years and never a positive interaction with her. After reading other reviews, I see I wasn’t the only person with that experience.
